Ronald L. Kintup, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 11:30AM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 10:30AM until time of service at the funeral home. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Ron was born on October 24, 1933, to William & Genevive (LaVanway) Kintup in Benton Harbor. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School before entering in the United States Army. After he was honorably discharged, Ron married the love of his life Jesslyn Marks on August 15, 1964, in Coloma. Ron worked as a Truck Driver for over 38 years before retirement. He then enjoyed traveling with his wife across the United States and Europe. Ron was a knowledgeable man who enjoyed talking with people. Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jesslyn Kintup; children, Ron (Karen) Kintup of St. Joseph, Julie Ann (Rick Sadler) Bryant of Marshall, MI and Jeffrey Kintup of North Carolina; grandchildren, Taylor (Josh) Leach, Travis (Hannah) Williams and two great-grandchildren; sister Sylvia Arndt of Eau Claire and Barbara (Art) Scherer of Watervliet; and sister and brother in-law Patricia (Kaye) Knight of St. Joseph; and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Kintup.
