Linda's Obituary

Linda D. Skale, 73, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks and Menchinger Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021, at 4:00PM at The Chapel, 4250 Washington Ave, St Joseph. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, from 2:30PM until the time of service at 4:00PM at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Chapel. Those wishing to share a memory of Linda online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Linda was born May 24, 1947, in Lansing to Robert and Delores (Clum) Swan. She was later adopted by Louis Pascotto who raised her. Linda graduated from St. John’s High School in Benton Harbor in 1965. She then went on to Michigan State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Master’s degree in reading. On September 9, 1967, she married the love of her life, Arthur “Art” Skale in St. Joseph. Linda was known as a kind and intelligent woman. She had a passion for reading and education. Linda loved teaching children, especially her grandsons. Linda was an educator for Berrien Springs Public Schools and was a teacher for over 40 years before her retirement. Most of all she loved her family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Art Skale; children, Michelle L. Skale, John A. Skale, Dr. David M. (Danika) Skale and Jennifer L. Skale; grandchildren, Soren and Luke Skale; and her siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Swan, Delores Clum and Louis Pascotto.
