Margie's Obituary

Margie Lange, 88, formerly of St. Joseph, MI passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her home in Berrien Springs. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph, with pastor Joshua Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Monday, May 17, 2021 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Logan Center “ALC” SWMI or Grace Lutheran Church. Those wishing to share a memory of Margie online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Margie was born October 3, 1932 in Benton Harbor, MI to Carl & Mabel (Kittell) Phillips. She graduated from St. Joseph High School. Margie worked for the Berrien County Court House as the Director of Berrien County Print and Microfilm. On September 27, 1952 she married Robert Lange in St. Joseph. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was involved in many activities. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and cleaning. We lost a wonderful woman and the best mom in the world. Margie is survived by her daughter Lonna (Roger) Johnson; six grandchildren Scott (Shannon) Felgner, Ryan (Tracey) Felgner, Cara (Victor) Gonzalez, J.R. (Jill) Johnson, Cami (Matt) Bacon and Dustin Johnson; great grandchildren Olivia, Parker, Langelee, Aidan, Lydia, Joella, Delanie, MJ, Axel, Andrew and Bella. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Louanne Bunker, sisters Raina Witkowski and June Watt Kasischke and brothers Richard and Donald Phillips.
