Kjelldon L. Schar, 51, formerly of Dowagiac, passed away, Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Medilodge of Portage in Portage, Michigan. Arrangements are entrusted to Clark Chapel, Dowagiac. Kjelldon was born May 2, 1970 in Oak Lawn, Illinois to Gunnar & Rosemarie (Kawalec) Schar. Kjelldon was employed in the family business-Strictly Crete Construction in Sister Lakes. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following and rooting for the Chicago Cubs, Bears & Black Hawks. Kjelldon loved the outdoors and all of nature’s wildlife. He was a “fishing fool”, fishing every chance he could. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Kjelldon is survived by his mother Rosemarie of Portage; his sister and brothers-Margaret Schar of Oak Park, IL, Glenn Meachum of Las Vegas, Gunnar Schar of Dowagiac; niece & nephew-Elin & Anthony Schar; and his great-niece & nephew-Sophia & Trenton Schar. Kjelldon was preceded in death by his father Gunnar on December 24, 2017, and the love of his life, Rebecca Gibson, on January 2, 2020.
