Arlene's Obituary
Arlene Marie Wiles, 86, of Decatur, passed away, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Fountain View Retirement Village in Portage.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 8 at 11am, at Hamilton Cemetery, 52898 Territorial Rd, Decatur, MI 49045, with Pastor Scott Wiles officiating. Those wishing to share a memory of Arlene may do so online at www.newellchapel.com.
Arlene was born January 26, 1935 in Decatur, MI to Elmer and Marie (Veerke) Adams. On January 28, 1953 she married Lawrence Wiles in Decatur. Arlene worked at First State Bank as a teller. She was a member of the former Christian Reformed Church and an avid reader.
Arlene is survived by her children, Janet (Jack) Abshagen, Susan (Buch Fields) Fisher, and Flint (Kim) Wiles, all of Decatur; her grandchildren, Ann Miller, Jay (Michelle) Fisher, Ed (Janice) Abshagen, Christina Benson, Danielle (Nick Augst) Trappe, Joe (Caela) Wiles, and Katie Wiles; her 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Elmer Jr.; nephew, Dan Adams; granddaughter, Kathryn; and good friend, Ed Cerny.
