Paul R. Busick

Paul R. Busick, 71, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021, at his home. Arrangements have been entrusted with Clark Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 10:00 AM, at Decatur Bible Church, 80797 M-51 Decatur, MI with Pastor Steve DeGroft officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Paul’s name may be made to the Decatur Bible Church or the Jesus Film Project. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence for the family may do so at www.clarkch.com. Paul was born October 5, 1949, in Dowagiac, to Glenn and Gertrude (Wagner) Busick. He graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1968. After high school, Paul was drafted into the United States Army and served his country from 1970-1971. On October 7, 1978, he married the love of his life, Wanda Westfall. Paul was a hard-working farmer, he enjoyed working on his farm that had been in his family for over a 100 years raising hogs and cattle. He also worked for H&R Block in Dowagiac for over 24 years, even owning and operating it for a short time. He loved spending time with his family and friends,but most of all he loved spending time with Jesus and worked daily to be more like Him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; children, Ben (Andrea) Busick and Rebecca Busick; grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua and Hannah Busick; siblings, Ruth (Jim) Crum and Alan (Teri) Busick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Gertrude Busick.
