Sidney's Obituary

Sidney “Sid” Hickmott, 64, of Coloma, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at home. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 11AM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, with Pastor Steve Hartten officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10AM until time of the service at the funeral home. Sid was born on December 13, 1956, to Dee Hickmott and Nancy Horman in St. Joseph. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, class of 1975. Before retirement, Sid worked as a Truck Coordinator for Federal Express and owned a powder coating business, Rimm Kote. In his free time, Sid enjoyed touring the country on his Harley-Davidson, listening to blues music, and working on home renovation projects. Most of all, he loved to spend his time spoiling his grandchildren. Sid is survived by his mother Nancy (Jay) Horman of Houston TX; his two children, Tracy (Joseph Chan) Hickmott of Ada, MI. and Kelly (Landon) Barnard of Cincinnati, Ohio; his sisters, Rhonda (Achille) Epifani of Houston, TX, Sandy Bakeman of Houston, TX and Kelly Jones of Stevensville; and five grandchildren, Mitchell, Landon, JoJo, Rosalee, and Letty. He was preceded in death by his father Dee Hickmott; brother Rodney Hickmott and will be missed and loved by all.
