Betty J. Wesner

Betty J. Wesner, 86, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at The Whitcomb surrounded by her family. A private family celebration will be held with burial in North Shore Memory Gardens. Another celebration of life will take place in July 2021. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Betty was born on December 10, 1934 in Benton Harbor. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. On July 2, 1960 she married the love of her life, Arden Wesner. They cherished 45 years of marriage before his passing in 2005. Betty loved the Lord and attended church at Fairplain Assembly of God, The Chapel, and Woodland Shores Baptist Church over the years. She enjoyed spending time at their second home in the U.P. Betty loved bird watching, waterfalls, lighthouses and was an amazing cook. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family. Betty is survived by her children, Gail (Warren) Wadel of St. Joseph, Jeffrey (Melissa) Wesner of Stevensville and Joy (Robert White) Pitts of Stevensville; grandchildren, Andrea (Brian) Binns, Matthew (Tyler Ayres) Wadel, Brittany (Adam) Weldon, Tia Pitts, Brandon Wesner, Alejandra (Thomas) Sofka and great-grandsons, Luke and Levi Binns. She was preceded in death by her sister, Wilda and twin sister, Barbara.
