Ramon Urias Jr.

Ramon Urias, Jr., 60, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph. A gathering will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Saturday April 24, 2021 at the American Legion Post 85, 112 N. Bluff St., Berrien Springs, MI 49103. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Chapel in Berrien Springs. Those wishing to share a memory of Ramon online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com Ramon was born November 24, 1960 in New Braunfels, TX to Ramon & Della (Madla) Urias Sr. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1979. On June 24, 1984 he married Tamargo “Tami” Bullock in Berrien Springs, MI. Ramon worked for Spectrum Health Lakeland for many years in maintenance. Ramon enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, or spending time attending to his vegetable garden. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to others and could fix almost anything. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family playing cards and board games, watching sports (Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and especially his granddaughters’ games), playing with the family’s dog (Lucy), and being a rock of constant support for his wife, children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He is fondly remembered by family and friends for his constant sense of humor, his light-hearted pranks, and his kind, loving heart. Ramon is survived by his wife, Tami Urias; son, Brian (Ashley) Urias; daughter, Brittany Urias; three grandchildren, Kaylee, Hayden, and Abby; father, Ramon Urias, Sr.; and sisters Mary (David) Cabello, Josephine Urias, Joyce (Keith) Layos, and Cathy (Bob) Lewis. Ramon was preceded in death by his mother.
