Beverly Joan Davis

Beverly Joan (Brant) Davis, 86, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Monday, February 5, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph, MI. No memorial service has been planned at this time. A private grave-side gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Chapel and Cremation Services in Berrien Springs 471-2700. For those who wish to leave an on-line condolence may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com. Beverly was born January 1, 1935 to Donald and Lois Brant Schulz in Eau Claire, MI. She graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1952. Beverly’s first husband, Cpt. Richard Sanders, a pilot in the United States Air Force, was killed during take-off in Battle Creek, leaving her with three small children. On November 1, 1968, she married Lawrence Duane Davis, Sr. in Berrien Springs. Together they raised seven children, Beverly’s three, Larry’s three children and one of their own. Some of their happiest times as a family were spent camping, fishing and playing cards. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beverly worked as a secretary for I&M and Clark Equipment before accepting the Berrien Springs Village Clerk’s position which she held for several years before retiring. Beverly and Larry celebrated 52 years together in November. Beverly is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Debra (Michael) Vandeveer, Gregg (Cindy) Sanders, Lawrence, Jr. (Rebecca) Davis, Todd Davis, Drew Davis and Laura (Greg) Wagner; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and sister, Shirley (Brant) Robinson. She was preceded by her parents; first-husband, Richard Sanders and son, Richard Brant Sanders.
