Anthony's Obituary

Anthony John Stover, 40, of Munster, IN previously of Coloma, Michigan passed away unexpectedly last week. Our hearts are broken. We will celebrate his life with a visitation on Monday evening April 12 from 5-7 pm, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph and service on Tuesday April 13 at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Tessari officiating. Anthony was born October 19, 1980. After graduating from Coloma High School, Anthony proudly served in the US Army in Iraq and Korea. One special part of his time in the service was that the Marine Corp preferred Anthony to repair their electronics (even though he was in the Army) as he repaired them correctly. This often led to the Marines saving a place for him at their table as the food was better with the Marines. Upon his honorable discharge he attended Universal Technical Institute, graduating with honors. He furthered his career with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree through DeVry University. Currently Anthony was employed as the Operations Manager by Navastar International, for their vehicle repair facility, TTD in Melrose Park, Illinois. His love of mechanics was like none other. He took pride in having a job that allowed him to find and correct issues with a motor or piece of machinery. Making sure that it was safe to be used. Treasuring Anthony’s memory are his father and bonus mom of St. Joseph, Michigan Dale & Lynn Stover. His sisters Rebecca Lind and her children Nathan, Zackary, Aaron and Katilyn of Flint, Michigan; Heather Borr and her children Travis, Brianna and Scott of Watervliet, Michigan and Loretta Gearhart and fiancée Tim Hankins and their children Clover, Whitnee, William and Julie of Coloma, Michigan and Lynn’s mother and son Carol Akins and Matthew Avara of St. Joseph, Michigan. Uncles Dr. Dennis & Marianne Stover of Edmund, Oklahoma; Bruce Stover of Berrien Springs, Michigan.
