Michael “Michael "Mikie" Carpenter” Carpenter

Michael “Mikie” Carpenter, 27, of Buchanan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 22, 2021, at home, with his family by his side. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Village S.D.A. Church, 635 St. Joseph Ave., Berrien Springs, MI. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10-11 am. Burial will take place at 10 am Monday, March 29, 2021, in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Professionally, he worked at Niles Steel Tank and was currently enrolled in Lake Michigan College, pursuing a maintenance apprenticeship. Mikey enjoyed blacksmithing, welding, and tending to his team of oxen. He was a caring man with a big heart and loved people. Most of all, Mikie cherished his family. Mikie is survived by his parents, Michael and Heather Carpenter of Buchanan; siblings, Elizabeth, Kyle, Abigail and Clancy Carpenter all of Buchanan; paternal grandparents, Monte and Phyllis Carpenter; maternal grandparents, David and Carla Springer; aunts & uncles, Steven (Laura) Carpenter, Karen Carpenter, Naomi Carlson, Miriam Carr, Sarah (Trevor) Kuerzinger, Nathan (Amanda) Springer and Levi (Rachel) Springer; many beloved cousins and friends.
