Brett Edward Bullock, 24, of Coloma, passed away, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Willie Lark officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 A. M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Brett was born March 1, 1997 in St. Joseph. He graduated from Coloma High School, Class of 2015. Brett enjoyed playing video games and watching YouTube in his Harry Potter themed bedroom, building complicated designs with Legos, and baking & cooking with his family. His diagnosis with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy did not dampen his spirits, but it did prevent him from fulfilling his dream of going to culinary school. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Brett is survived by his caregiver Kae Craig of Coloma; two uncles-Jim (Heather) Matheson of Accokeek, MD, James (Jennifer) Matheson of Kennesaw, GA; several cousins; and his birth-mother Angelina Weekes of St. Anthony, ID. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Patricia Matheson in 2020 and his father Timethy Bullock in 2020.
