Richard Wells

Richard Wells, 52, of Niles, MI passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in Niles. A gathering will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 12, 2021 at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31 Berrien Springs. Memorials may be made to the Wells family in c/o Jennifer Wells. Those wishing to share a memory of Richard online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com Richard was born June 7, 1968 in Muskegon, MI to Richard “Chip” & Brenda (Archer) Wells II. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1987. On August 22, 1998 he married Jennifer Skinner in Las Vegas, NV. Richard worked for Four Winds Casino as a Dual-Rate slot supervisor. In his spare time Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood splitting and was an avid Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame Fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends around a bonfire with a good cigar and Miller High Life. Richard is survived by his wife Jennifer Wells; son Chip Wells; daughters Quebeca (Ryan) McCarty and Lena Wells; grandchildren Annabelle, Daphne and Grayson McCarty; mother Brenda (Alan) Clarke; sister Rhonda (Jason) Whitt; nieces Hannah & Grace Whitt; grandmother Mildred Archer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his father Richard “Chip” Wells II.
