Fred Allan Dale

Fred Allan Dale, Sr. 69, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021, at his home. A celebration of life visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. March 3, 2021 at Clark Chapel, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac, MI, 49047. Memorial donations in Fred’s name may be made to the Wild Bird Foundation, www.wildbirdfoundation.org. Fred was born February 24, 1952 in Paw Paw to Frank and Neca (Green) Dale. On August 6, 1983 he married Phoebe Whitworth in Decatur. Fred worked in manufacturing for thirty-three years, retiring as a Diecast Supervisor. Fred spent his free time racing RC cars. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and birding. He was also known to, in his own words, “poke the bear” an antagonist and jokester. After retirement he worked at Road Hawk Truck Stop with his daughter. Fred is survived by his wife, Phoebe Dale; his children, Virgil (Nicole) Dale, Ivy (Matthew) Smith, and Fred (Rachel) Dale, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, Josh (Andrea), Addison, Hoyt, John, Ember, Myckenna, Kane, Shawn, and Zakk; his great-grandchild, Giselle; and his sister, Betty Duda. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Virgil Dale, James Dale, and Shirley Adams; and his parents.
