Charles "Chuck Evans

Charles S. “Chuck” Evans, 75, of Niles, passed away, Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at River Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Niles. Per Chuck’s wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will celebrate his life privately. Memorial contributions in Chuck’s name may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or Charity of your choice. Those wishing to sign Chuck’s Memory Book online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Chuck was born August 9, 1945, in Benton Harbor to Donald and Betty (Stakley) Evans. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968. Chuck was a hard worker and worked for Whirpool in Benton Harbor for many years. He later went on to work for Atlantic Automotive until his retirement. Chuck had a love for the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his spare time, he loved woodworking and had made many items over the years. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed. Chuck is survived by his siblings, Robin (Joe) Tuka, Diane (Jerry) Murray, Robert (Mari) Stakley and David Stakley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donalee Watson.
