Pearl Irene Weinhouse, 96, of Michigan City, IN, formally of Benton Harbor, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Michigan City. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 26 at 1 PM at Temple Beth-El Memorial Park with Rabbi Harvey Spivak officiating. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Pearl was born on January 15, 1925, in Benton Harbor, to Samuel & Eleanor (Schwartz) Roven. She was a graduate from Benton Harbor High School. On December 26, 1948, she married the love of her life, Leon Weinhouse, at Temple Beth-El in Benton Harbor. The two were happily married for almost 57 years before his passing in 2005. Pearl was employed with Whirlpool Corp. as an Accounts Manager until she retired after 40 years. Pearl had a passion for acting and singing. She studied voice in Chicago and was a proud member of the Temple Beth-El Choir & Twin City Players. She also enjoyed traveling and was always looking for new experiences. However, what she loved most in life was spending time with her family. Pearl is survived by her daughter, Esther (Thomas) Stoller of Michigan City, IN; grandchildren, Derek (Genna) Hartog & Abbie Hartog; great-grandchildren, Toren, Sophie & Arie Hartog; step-grandchildren, Alison Martin, Erin (George) Colón, and Christopher Stoller; and step great-grandchildren, Alec & Paiton Martin, Makayla Johnson & Andrew Colón. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
