Marjorie Mae (Finney) Gahris, 99, of Berrien Center, passed away, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman. Private services & burial was held at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Marjorie was born September 13, 1921 in Custar, Ohio to Bernard & Bertha (Duquette) Finney. After graduation from Bowling Green High School, Marjorie worked in secretarial positions until her marriage to Robert Gahris on April 10, 1948 in Custar. After raising her daughters, she worked as a bookkeeper at Berrien Teachers Credit Union until her retirement. Marjorie was an active member of New Troy Grace Brethren Church where she held various offices. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert on December 20 2010, her parents, a sister Lorraine Neiling of Bowling Green, OH, a brother Donald Finney of San Jose, CA, a brother Edgar Finney of Bonita Springs, FL and son-in-law Dan Foote of Bonita Springs, FL. Marjorie is survived by daughters Marcia Foote of Grand Blanc, MI and Marilyn (Ron) Arend of Berrien Center; grandchildren Matthew (Rachel) Arend of Marshall, MI and Stacy Arend of Grove City, PA; and great-grandchildren Danielle and Zachary Arend.
