Sandy's Obituary
Sandy J. Landis, 78, of St. Joseph, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at her home.
A private Celebration of Life Service will be held for Sandy's family. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle Hospice, 4025 Health Park Ln, St. Joseph. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Sandy was born on October 13, 1942, to Harold & Alma (Radde) Diamond in St. Joseph. She graduated from St. Joseph High School and then continued her education at Michigan State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education. After college, she taught school at St. Joseph and Lakeshore High Schools.
On June 25, 1966, Sandy married the love of her life Douglas Landis. Together they owned the golf shop at Wyndwicke golf course, followed by Landis Clothing Company. Sandra was a founding member of Peace Lutheran Church, member of Child and Family Services and a member of Berrien Hills Country Club.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Doug Landis; children, David (Shannon) Landis of Portage, Mi, and Shelly (James) Penney of Decatur, Ga.; grandchildren, Delaney, Carter, Vaughn and Lily; sister Deanna Toth of Lansing, MI; A nephew, Michael (Patty) Toth, and a niece, Michelle (Jim) Powell.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Alma Diamond.
