Mary Theresa De Porter

Mary T. De Porter, 88, of Stevensville, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Serenity Shore Assisted Living. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services. Mary was born on December 14, 1932, in Nieczajna, Poland to Jan & Honorata (Sojka) Wajda. She married Edward De Porter, of Paterson, NJ, in 1970. They relocated to Stevensville when Edward was transferred by Continental Can Company. The two were happily married until his passing in July of 2012. Together they loved to take cruises. Mary also loved cooking and tending to her geraniums. Mary is survived by her step-daughter, Ellen (Bruce) Skewes of The Villages, FL and sister, Emily Wayda of Boca Raton, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jan & Honorata; husband, Edward; siblings, Peter, Elizabeth and Mickey; and step-granddaughter, Lori.
