Mary Elizabeth Lauricella

Mary Elizabeth Lauricella, 84, of New Buffalo, MI, passed away on Tuesday – January 5, 2021 at her residence. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Mary was born on September 20, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late Simon and Elizabeth (Burton) Gustafson. She was a 1955 graduate of Benton Harbor High School. Mary married Angelo “Tony” Lauricella on April 8, 1956. She was a member of the New Buffalo Service League; she also loved her Card Club and playing cards with her friends. Mary loved her family and will be greatly missed. Mary is survived by her children – Roger (Lin) Lauricella of Arcadia, CA and Cynthia (Ralph) Briese of Hesperia, MI; grandchildren – Camie, Robyn, Shao Lin and Jason; great grandchildren – Maranda, Dannielle, John, Kailynn, Weston, Madison, Wyatt, Walker and Ethan; great great grandchildren – Jaxon, Easton and Lyla; sisters – Carole (John) Mehling and Susan (Jay) Harris; niece – Jennifer Jennings and her daughter Julia Jennings. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. A private family committal service was held with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery.
