Adalbert “Al” Sturcz, 81, of Stevensville, MI passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. A Private Mass will be Celebrated Saturday, January 9th , 2021 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware Ave., Benton Harbor with Fr. James Adams officiating. An Interment will take place at a later date at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Caring Circle Hospice, American Kidney Foundation, or the American Alzheimer’s Association. Those wishing to share a memory of Al online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Al was born November 11, 1939 in Weindorf, Hungary to Karl & Katharina (Peltzer) Sturcz. On November 19, 1960 he married Diana Hefner in Chicago at St. Alphonsus Church. Al worked for Stanley Knight Corporation for 37 years including 27 as Service Manager. He was a member of Sts. John and Bernard Parish. Al was an outdoorsman and sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, gardening, and snowmobiling. He especially cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Al was the beloved husband of Diana Sturcz; cherished father of Jeanette (Craig) Peacock, Tim (Kelly) Sturcz, Barbara (Sean) Phelan, and Katharine (Brian) Lint; much loved grandfather of Laura (Peter) Bilionis, Kelly (Luke) Biltgen, Logan Sturcz, Mallaigh, Abaigh, and Emalaigh Phelan, Teah, Tynan, Evan, and Elan (Buckingham) Lint; great grandfather to Eliana and Amara Bilionis; loving brother of Eva (Nick) Pataki. He is also remembered by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Adalbert “Little Al”.
