Ursula was born on February 27, 1921 in Bitterfeld, Germany to August and Helene Marie (Moring) Schneider. On July 2, 1941, in Marienwerder, Germany, she married Ewert Breitkreuz. In 1952, the couple immigrated to the United States.
Ursula was a woman of faith and knew her Saviour, Jesus Christ, intimately. Church was very important to her from a young age and she was active in the choir and enjoyed doing crafts for the children’s ministry for many years. She loved gardening and flowers which she planted every year and tended. Ursula also loved to sing and God had gifted her with a beautiful voice. In her younger days she sang solos and at events. She also loved crocheting, knitting, needlepoint and sewing. She used her skills to make afghans for the entire family and others. Most of all, she was devoted to her God and her family all her life.
Ursula will be missed by her daughters, Gisela (Robert) Kowaleski, Marianne (Thomas) Daniels, and Susanne Breitkreuz; her grandchildren, Annette (Ryan) Harvey, Rachael (Keith) Swearingen, and Rebecca (Kyle) Howard; her great grandchildren, George, Andrew, and Sarah Harvey, Luke and Ethan Swearingen, and Esther and Lydia Howard.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ewert Breitkreuz; three sisters; one brother; and her parents.
