Stanislaw Edward Gorski

Stanislaw E. Gorski, 70, of Stevensville, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday – December 19, 2020 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital surrounded by family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Stanislaw was born in Nowy Sacz, Poland on April 12, 1950, to the late Jan and Helena (Baran) Gorski. He is survived by his wife – Krystyna; son – Adam and daughter – Ewa of Stevensville; brothers – Jozef and Franciszek Gorski and a sister – Michalina Nowobilska, all living in Poland. Stanislaw was VP at the District Cooperative of Supply and Sale in Nowy Sącz, Poland, and he was honored when selected for the prestigious 1-year engineer exchange program, which brought him to America for the first time in 1980. He returned to America in 1983 and married the love of his life, Krystyna, on July 27th, 1985 and welcomed his son and daughter; who all were the center of his life. He lived in Stevensville, MI for the remainder of his life where he worked and retired from Robert Bosch in St. Joseph, MI. Stanislaw was a family-oriented man, known by all for his indomitable spirit and selflessness. He was an excellent problem solver, handyman and was always a step ahead. Stanislaw enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, birdwatching and dancing with his wife. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday-December 29, 1:00pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will conclude with burial following the Mass in Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville, MI. Visitation with the family precedes the service from 10:30am until 12:30pm, at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home.
