Betty Jean Ross

Betty Jean Ross, 94, of Coldwater, entered into the arms of her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Coldwater. The family will receive guests from 10am until the funeral service at 11am, Monday, August 9, 2021 at Saron Lutheran Church, 510 Main St., St. Joseph. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Saron Lutheran Church www.saronlutheran.org. Betty was born January 2, 1926 in Canton, IL to John and Esther (Bell) Trudgen. She was a graduate of the University of Illinois and was a proud supporter of their sports programs throughout her life. Betty later moved to Saint Joseph, Michigan, where she became a devoted member of Saron Lutheran Church. She was a soup kitchen volunteer, as well as an active participant in the Bible Study Fellowship. She spent many hours volunteering for her church. Betty also enjoyed traveling and performing with her singing group, the Misfits. She was an excellent cook, a skill she enjoyed sharing with her children. Betty will be missed by her children, Deborah Cox, David (Shelley) Ross, Barbara (Robert) Baptist, and LeeAnne (David) Nagle; eight grandchildren; Dave (Jessica) Cox and Jon Cox; Rachel Nash; Zachary Rickel and Alex Rickel; Ben Baptist; Patricia (Noah) Nagle and Tommy (Stephany) Nagle, and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Nickerson and her parents.
