Angelina D. Kapalczynski

Angelina D. Kapalczynski, 89, of St. Joseph, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Caretel Inns. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., or Birthright, both of St. Joseph. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Angelina was born on July 18, 1931, in Niles, to Peter & Josephine (Mongolona) D’Onofrio. She graduated from Niles High School, Class of 1949. Angelina married the love of her life, Ralph Kapalczynski, on June 21, 1958, in Niles. She was employed at Kawneer as a secretary for many years. Angelina was a faithful and proud member of St. John/St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, where she was heavily involved with their Bible study program. She also volunteered her time at Birthright, and also enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and tending to her garden. However, what gave Angelina the most joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Angelina is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Ralph; daughter, Cynthia McKay of Austin, TX; son, Ralph (Sheri) Kapalczynski, Jr. of Charlotte, MI; and grandchildren, Megan, Michelle, and Jeremy McKay all of Austin, TX, and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter & Josephine; and siblings, Loretta Roberts & Leslie D’Onofrio.
