Charles M. “Pete” Delk, Sr., 92, of Baroda, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held graveside at 10:00AM on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda, with Rev. Larry Nail officiating. Those wishing to leave a condolence of Pete online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Pete was born October 21, 1928, to Patrick and Molly (Shelton) Delk in Johnson City, Tennessee. After high school, Pete went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy, serving for 22 years before retiring as Master Chief. On March 25, 1955, he married the love of his life, Louise “Weezy” Sealy. Pete was known as a hard-working man; he was a maintenance engineer for over 25 years working for Mercy Hospital then for Lakeland hospital before his retirement at the age of 77. Pete was a “jack of all trades” always wanting to help his friends and family when something needed to be fixed. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and taking walks. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed. Pete is survived by his sons, Charles “Chuck” (Tammy) Delk, Jr., Bruce (Debra) Delk and Patrick (Lindie) Delk; grandsons, Ryan Delk and Matthew Delk; and sister, Nancy Sifford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Molly Delk; wife, Louise Delk; son, Michael Delk; and sisters, Frankie, Jessie, and Irene.
