Elmer Schroeder

Elmer Schroeder, 90, of Coloma, MI passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at The Willows in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor James Whitman officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Baptist Church. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1950. Elmer served his Country in the United States Army from 1956 until 1958. Elmer married Janice Hennesey in 1960 and she preceded him in death in 1999. Then in 2005 Elmer married Renee Carlisle and she preceded him in death in 2019. Elmer worked for the Menasha Corporation for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and being outdoors. Elmer is survived by his children Kirk (Debra) Schroeder, Sherrie (Timothy) Wetzel, Scott Schroeder and JoAnn (Steve) Ertman; grandchildren Challen, Tyler, Blake (Courtney) and Rick (fiancé Allison); brother Eugene (Marilyn) Schroeder; Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janice Schroeder and Renee Carlisle; son Terry Schroeder, siblings Allen Schroeder, Delores Knaack, Edith Noack and Eleanor Tate and daughter-in-law Lori Schroeder.
