Darlene M. Janca

Darlene M. Janca, 68, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at her home. Cremation has taken place and Darlene’s family will have a private graveside service at a later date. Darlene was born March 27, 1952, in Paw Paw, to August and Ella (nee Kostka) Janca. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1970. After high school, Darlene attended Western Michigan University where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Home Economics. She worked in Human Resources for MacDonald’s Restaurants for 25 years before her retirement. Darlene enjoyed quilting and crocheting, she made over 200 lap afghans for the VFW. She was a big fan of Elvis Presley. Darlene had a love for animals especially her dog, Chewy and her four cats. Most of all she loved her family and she will be greatly missed. Darlene is survived by her brothers, Frank Janca of Decatur and Gus (Izabel) Janca of Minden, Ontario; niece, Elissa Janca (Spenser Carey) of Toronto, Ontario ; and nephew, David (Cerys Lo) Janca and grand-nephew, Emmett Janca, of Vancouver, British Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents August and Ella Janca.
