Laurie M. Harte, 55, of St. Joseph, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 7, 2020. A prayer service will be held at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., at 11AM, on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, with Father Adams officiating. Entombment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, from 10AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Laurie was born on July 23, 1965, to John & Lois Jean (Sherry) Gnagi in Lansing, MI. She graduated from Mayville High School. Laurie worked as a Press Operator for various printing businesses for over 15 years. While working at Lake Michigan Mailers, she met Phillip Harte and eventually married him on April 25, 1998. Laurie enjoyed crafting, listening to music, and cooking. She also loved hosting family events, such as game night, summer pool parties and Thanksgiving. She was fun loving, kind and especially devoted to her nieces and nephews. Laurie is survived by her mother Jean Gnagi; siblings, Marjorie (Robert) Mickaels, Brian Gnagi, and Christopher (Nancy) Gnagi; mother-in-law Barbara Harte; brothers-in-law Jeffery (Paulette) Harte, David Harte, Theodore “Teddy” Harte, William “Bill” (Elaine) Harte, Johnathan Harte, Patrick Harte and Thomas Starks; and numerous nieces & nephews. Laurie was preceded in death by father John Gnagi; husband Phillip Harte; and sisters-in-law Tracey Starks and Laura Spencer.
