Dorothy L. (Kepp) Duschek, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Michael Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Youth Fair-Dog Dept. or Trinity Lutheran Church-St. Joseph. Those wishing to sign Dorothy’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Dorothy was born September 5, 1930 in Benton Harbor to Herman & Molly (Behnke) Kepp. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1949. On February 4, 1961 she married Rudolph “Rudy” Duschek, Jr. in St. Joseph. Dorothy was employed by Whirlpool Corp. for forty-three years, retiring in 1996 from the IT Department. She enjoyed going out to breakfast & lunch with her fellow retirees. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, the Hummel Club & the German Club. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading and collecting Hummels. Dorothy leaves behind her son Joseph R. (Julia) Duschek and her beloved granddaughter Heather M. Duschek, all of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy on March 14, 2019, her parents, her siblings & spouses-Bessie (Harvey) Gross, Henry (Margaret) Kipp, Elsie (Jack) Baiers, Herb (Angie) Kipp, Marie (Harold) Ast, Tillie Reisig, Albert Kepp, Edward Kepp, and her canine companions-Snickers, Pixie, Robin, Tootsie, Topsie and Snookie.
