Terry Stoiber

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce Terry Edward Stoiber, age 45, passed away on Thursday, October 29th 2020, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel and Cremation services. Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence for the family may do so at www.sommerfeldchapel.com Cherished and beloved son to Elaine Serafino, son to Gary; Dear brother to Eric (Jennifer), James (Heather) Diaz, and Michael Diaz; Fun-loving uncle to Nathaniel, Kyler, Emery, Abigail and Camden; nephew, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by his stepfather, Florentino Diaz. Born in Berwyn, IL, Terry spent his childhood growing up in Lyons, IL and was a 1993 graduate of Morton High School. He lived most of his life in the western suburbs of Chicago and his last few years living in Galien, MI close to family. Terry was a kind, warm hearted, wandering soul that touched many lives. His fun-loving spirit, quick wit, and perfectly timed one-liners will be sorely missed. At times he was stubborn and hard-headed, but always dedicated and fiercely loyal to his family and close friends. The first to lend a hand and never shied away from hard work. A lover of animals, collector of eclectic mementos, conversationalist on conspiracy theories and extra-terrestrials, and looked forward to, one day, living a simple life in the mountains of Colorado. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time and playing games with family and friends, relaxing at a fishing hole, or watching and rooting for his favorite team, the Chicago Bears. Due to the current pandemic, a Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at a later date.
