Joseph Paul “Joe” Terlecki, 29, of St. Joseph, lost a four-year struggle with drug addiction to an overdose on Saturday, October 31, 2020. A Celebration of Life and time of sharing will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 1 PM until the time of sharing at the funeral home. Out of respect for the family and guests in attendance masks and proper social distancing will be required. Those wishing to sign Joe’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Joe was born July 30, 1991 in Berrien Springs, MI to Michael and Marie (Scalzo) Terlecki. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 2009 and continued his education at Western Michigan University earning a degree in Business and Marketing. On August 11, 2018, he married Karlyn Osborn overlooking Lake Michigan. Joe loved working in the Food and Beverage Industry making an impact where ever he worked. While Joe loved all animals, he had a special place in his heart for cats. Throughout college, Joe was known for taking his white cat, Juice, to a number of social gatherings. Joe loved music and spending time with friends. He had a great sense of humor always putting a smile on people’s faces and was known for giving the best hugs! Joe is survived by his wife, Karlyn Osborn; parents, Michael and Marie Terlecki; brother, Michael Terlecki; best friend, Zach Cessna; grandmother, Grace Terlecki; uncles, Joe (Marlissa West) Scalzo and Paul Terlecki; in-laws, Nancy (David) Lawrence; the entire Lawrence and Osborn family; and the Haber and Barton families of New Jersey. Joe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mieczyslaw Terlecki and grandparents, Joseph and Edith Scalzo.
