Walter “Wally” Duschek, 87, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 5, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Douglas Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, October 4, 2020 Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Walter was born August 10, 1933 in St. Joseph, MI to Rudolph & Elizabeth (Abeln) Duschek Sr. Walter served his country in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1957. On January 9, 1957 he married Connie Leight in Ohio. Wally worked for Paramount Diecast as a foreman for many years. He also worked as a truck driver for Tigmaster and worked at the Berrien County Youth Fair. Walter enjoyed farming, mustangs, tinkering in his shop and having coffee with his friends. Walter is survived by his son Mark (Mary) Duschek of Baroda; daughter Paula (Dean) Marschke of Berrien Springs; seven grandchildren Rachael (Dylan) Kuzda, Ryan Marschke, Brandi, Cody & Aaron Duschek, Leland and Ryan Muller; great grandson Abel Duschek; sisters Erma Hennes and Dorothy Schwolow; sister-in-law Dorothy Duschek; and many nieces & nephews. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, wife Connie Duschek and siblings Jeanette Lynch, Alice Clem, Rudolph Duschek, Arlene Wolter, Arthur Duschek, Raymond Duschek and Bernard Duschek.
