Cheryl Mary Houtz, 66, of Stevensville, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at Golden Age Manor in Stevensville with her daughter and husband by her side.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Brian Rumer officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. to time of service. Memorials may be made to Caring Circle of Lakeland, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Cheryl was born March 15, 1954 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Howard and Mary (Dehring) Houtz. She graduated from Lakeshore High School 1972. Cheryl married John Rybarczyk on November 6, 2010 at New Life Baptist Church in St. Joseph. She was a talented Arts and Crafts person, she loved ceramics and crocheting. Cheryl was a tremendous cook, her family said that everything she made was wonderful. Her favorite moments were spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, John Rybarczyk; daughter, Erin (Dan) Oderkirk of Grand Rapids; Grandchildren, Colin Oderkirk, Andrew Oderkirk, and Adalyn Oderkirk. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Eric Goodsell.
