Jonathan Charles Duehlmeyer, age 29, of Stevensville was called home to heaven Thursday, September 24, 2020. He was born in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Robert and Mary Duehlmeyer, Jr. May 20, 1991. Jon graduated in 2017 from Lighthouse Education Center Autism Program. His favorite songs were “Jesus loves Me” and “Away in a Manger.” Jon always loved music, animals, and Oreo cookies. Throughout his life, Jon touched many lives with his ready smile and sweet personality. He is survived by his parents Robert and Mary Duehlmeyer; sisters Elizabeth (Kevin) Pockrandt and Katherine (William) Kiser. His nieces and nephew Sophia, Olivia, Lydia, Eva, Nora and Micah. Also, his grandmother Ruth Duehlmeyer and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Duehlmeyer, grandmother Norma Thone, and grandfathers Robert Duehlmeyer, Sr. and Lawrence Thone. A visitation will be held at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, Michigan on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 2-5 pm. Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 28th at 11:00 am, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3713 Naomi Road, Sodus with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Jonathan’s honor to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Sodus, Chiara Home, and LOGAN Autism Learning Center in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
