Anthony's Obituary

Anthony A. “Tony” Wiatrowski, 54, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at his home after a tough battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. A private family burial will take place at Lincoln Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Tony was born on November 15, 1965, in St. Joseph to Arnold & Marjorie (Baker) Wiatrowski. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1985. Tony’s passion was being out on the water. He loved getting on a boat and going fishing, so much so that he got his captain’s license. In the past five years, he had taken care of private boats for James Bellman. He was also an avid fan of Notre Dame, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Cubs. Tony was proud to be a member of Steel Headers and Ducks Unlimited. However, what brought Tony the most joy was spending time with his niece and nephews, being with them put the biggest smile on his face. Tony was an incredible man who was always willing to lend a hand when needed and over this past year of battling with cancer he was the one who needed the support. The family is so grateful to all his friends and to Mike Eastland for the kindness and support you gave Tony when he needed it most. Tony is survived by his mother, Marjorie Wiatrowski; siblings, Bradley Wiatrowski, Amy (Jim) Paulin, and Lori (Dan) McCrery; niece, Danielle McCrery; nephews, Parker Thornburg, Connor & Landon McCrery, and Matt & Jack Paulin; great-nephew, Colton Walker; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Wiatrowski.
