Kerry Joseph Poehlman

Kerry Joseph Poehlman, 58, of Dowagiac, MI, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday – July 13, 2020. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel – 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI. Kerry was born on August 4, 1961 in Dowagiac, MI to the late Robert and Mary (Iannerrelli) Poehlman. He was a 1979 graduate of Dowagiac High School. Kerry worked at Doubleday Office Products in Benton Harbor as a salesman for many years. He coached Rocket Football and was on the coaching staff for the Freshman, JV and Varsity football teams with the Dowagiac Schools. Kerry was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan. But most of all he loved watching his grandchildren play sports and didn’t miss any games. Kerry’s family and many friends will greatly miss him. Kerry is survived by his beloved daughter – Nicole (Scott) Saylor of Dowagiac; his cherished grandchildren – Halie, Anslie and Evan; brothers – Lee Poehlman of Plantation, FL, Kirk Poehlman of Carmel, IN, Michael (Jeannette) Poehlman of Miami, FL and Mark Poehlman of Schoolcraft, MI; his sister – Lori Enboden of Niles, MI; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends for a time of celebrating Kerry’s life, on Monday – July 20 from 6:00-7:00pm, at Clark Chapel in Dowagiac. Prayers will be said at 7:00pm to conclude the evening.
