Susan's Obituary

Susan C. Polomcak, 76, of Cassopolis, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at her home. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 12PM, at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur, with Pastor James Abshagen officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 5PM until 7PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Decatur VFW Post #6248 Lady’s Auxillary. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.newellchapel.com. Susan was born on August 30, 1943, in Portsmouth, VA, to Eujene & Helen (Pence) Lolmaugh. She graduated from Schertz Cibolo High School in Texas in 1961, she then continued her education at Texas A & M University. On April 21, 1984, Susan married the love of her life Patrick Polomcak in Paw Paw. Susan worked for different medical labs as a medical researcher at Texas A&M, University of Kentucky, and most recently at Miles Lab in Elkhart. She then worked for M 40 Bar in Decatur until her retirement in 2005. Susan enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, baking, bird watching, and animals. She was a life member of the Decatur VFW Post #6248 Lady’s Auxiliary and volunteered for many years at Helping Hands in Decatur. Susan is survived by her four sons, Mark Polomcak of Cassopolis, Butch (Cindy)Polomcak of Cassopolis, Eric (Kara Youngblood) Polomcak of Sodus, Edgar (Mary) Nunez of Decatur; grandchildren, Nate (Joy) Street, Paige (Frank Iavagnilio) Polomcak, Mason Polomcak, Carly (Spencer Calley) Polomcak, Logan (Staci Heffington) Polomcak, Grace Polomcak, Karol & Jeshua Nunez, Devin & Dustin Roberts, Aaron, Jason & Kaleb Youngblood, Julie & DeAnna Hoiland; great-grandchildren-Jordan, Alyssa, Peyton, Miles, Mara, Ethan & Eddy.
