John R. Krohne, Jr.

John R. Krohne, Jr., 58, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, June 29, 2020, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. John was born October 4, 1961, in Watervliet to John R. Krohne, Sr. and Patricia Mae Cooke. He graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1980. On August 21, 1982, he married his high school sweet-heart and the love of his life, Jamie Gebhard. John was a hard worker, he worked in sales and tech support for Johnstone Supply for over 20 years. He loved working for Johnstone Supply, he made many long-lasting friendships and met a lot of people over the years. He was known as a people person and a gentleman who was kind, creative and artistic, always smiling and loved being around his family and friends. John enjoyed the outdoors, he loved gardening and growing vegetables every year. Most of all he loved his wife and family, and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. John is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Krohne; children, Henry (Lindsay) Krohne and Angela (Micah) Null; grandchildren, Henry and Brody Krohne, Audrey Null and one granddaughter on the way; parents, John (Karol) Krohne, Sr. and Patricia Nothdurft; siblings, Lori (Casey) Cauffman, Lisa (Lennie) Slack, Jane Wright and Mark Northdurft; mother-in-law, Ardyce Gebhard; sisters-in-law, Monica Disterheft, Christine (Richard) Brosnan, Kimberly Track-Gebhard, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Gebhard; brother, John Wright and brother-in-law Dennis Disterheft.
