Francisco “Frank” Salvatore DeMaria, 77, of Baroda, MI passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Phil Bubar officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, June 26, 2020 at the funeral home. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1962. On June 3, 1966 he married Elizabeth “Beth Ann” Butler in Benton Harbor. Frank worked for Bendix Corporation for 30 years where he held many positions. Frank loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping up north in their cabin, working on cars and listening to books and music. Frank is survived by his wife Beth DeMaria; children: Tammy (Christopher) Karnik, Cathy (Scott) Zak, JoAnna (Chuck) Ward and Elizabeth “Lisa” (Paulo “Bobby” Huerta) DeMaria; 8 grandchildren: Andrew Wagner, Hannah (Thomas Delannoy) Houseworth, Elizabeth (Zakery) Lewellen, Karissa Karnik, Chad (Avery) DeMaria, Chelsea Ward, Dustin Ward and Sara Callahan; sister Kathy (Harold) Kasischke; brother Steve (Beverly) DeMaria and many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann “Babe” Arent and brother Jack DeMaria.
