Ronald Lee Roberts

Ronald Lee Roberts, 60, of Stevensville, MI passed away after a brief battle with cancer on June 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Ronald was born on November 18, 1959 in St. Joseph, MI to Clois and Betty (Catania) Roberts. He worked at the Taco Bell in Sawyer, MI. Ronald graduated from Blossomland Learning Center in Berrien Springs, MI and worked through and with Gateway Services of Benton Harbor. He was an avid participant in the International Special Olympics winning many medals and trophies with his bowling talents. Among his many sources of enjoyment were the game show network GSN, western movies, music, animals, and people. He loved spending time with family, especially his brother-in-law Michael. Ronald will be dearly missed by family and friends. Ronald is survived by his mother – Betty Jane Roberts of Stevensville; sister – Pam (Michael) Zandarski, Sr. of Baroda; brother – Clois Roberts, Jr. of Stevensville; and a nephew – Terrell Morrison, Jr. of Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his father – Clois Roberts, Sr., grandparents – Frank and Isabelle (Davis) Catania and Richard and Hautencia (Fortson) Roberts, aunts – Mary Lou Catania Sonnichsen and Neomia Roberts Whitehead, uncle – Kermit Roberts, and many cousins and friends. Private family services are being held with a memorial service at a later date. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Services in Benton Harbor or to the South West Michigan Humane Society.
