Ruby Huling

Ruby Huling, 95, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. A Graveside Service will be held 2:30 P.M. Friday, May 29, 2020 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs with Pastor Marlo Fritzke officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or First Baptist Church. Those wishing to share a memory of Ruby online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Ruby was born October 10, 1924 in Hornersville, Missouri to William & Bertha (Cowan) Hicks. On October 17, 1947 she married Stewart “Lindy” Phillips. They were married 42 years. Then on August 24, 1991 she married Francis Huling in St. Joseph. Ruby worked for A&P Grocery Store as a cashier for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and quilting. Ruby is survived by her step-children James (Leona) Phillips, Sandra (Richard) Hursh, Sharon (Ronnie) Meadows, Kathy (Mark) Hawks, & Francis “Jim” (Sally) Huling; nineteen step-grandchildren, twenty-eight step-great-grandchildren and nieces Glenda “Faye” Barkley and Venita Piner. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Stewart “Lindy” Phillips, second husband Francis Huling, step-daughter Jacquelin Phillips, step-son Ronald Phillips, two sisters, one brother and great-grandson Aiden Wood.
