Carol's Obituary
Carol Mae Nieman, 80, of Dowagiac passed away on Sunday-May 24, 2020 at the Timbers of Cass County. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel in Dowagiac.
Carol was born on March 11, 1940 in Lawrence, MI to the late William and Myrtle (Bakeman) Crawford. She was a 1958 graduate of the Andrews Academy and continued her education at Andrew’s University receiving her Master’s Degree in Education. Carol then taught at various schools.
Carol is survived by her husband Rolf Nieman of Dowagiac; brothers – Philip (Jennie) Crawford of Dowagiac and Gene (Peggy) Crawford of Jackson, MI; nieces – Lori (James) DeYoung, Sallie (Steve) Baerg, Susan (Erik) Oosterwal and Sandie (Scott) Yore; nephew – William (Katrina) Crawford; several grandnieces and grandnephews; a step-son John Nieman and two step-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glenwood Seventh Day Adventist Church or to the donor’s choice. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com
