Betty J. Siebenmark

Betty J. Siebenmark, 82, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. Noon. Betty was born in Loris, South Carolina, on May 28, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Tull Floyd of South Carolina and the late Peggy (Morris) Reinicker of Florida. Betty graduated from Plant City (Florida) High School and later from Lake Michigan College. On May 26, 1961 she married Jim Siebenmark in New Buffalo, Michigan. They started a family, and she enjoyed being a mother and homemaker for many years, and later as “Gramie” to her four grandchildren. Betty enjoyed tending to her flower gardens around her house, sewing, baking and cooking for her family on holidays and other occasions, and time spent with family and friends. Betty later worked for many years at Old Kent Bank in St. Joseph, retiring in 2000. She then spent many years volunteering at the Mendel Center and Peace Lutheran Church. Betty is survived by her husband Jim; her children Susan (Ed) Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael (Kevin West) Siebenmark of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and four grandchildren Nicholas (Sarah), Alexander, Jack, and Ellie Johnson.
