Guy V. Price

Guy V. Price, 65, of Dowagiac, passed away, Monday, May 11, 2020 at his home. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, June 13 beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Joda Acres Farm in Dowagiac. Memorial donations in Guy’s name may be made to the University of Michigan Melanoma Program or Spectrum Health Foundation. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1972. Guy gained employment at Gast Manufacturing in Benton Harbor and was currently employed after forty-eight years. On April 1, 1995 he married the former Dyanna Gingerich in Dade City Florida. Guy enjoyed the last twelve years on his farm in Dowagiac where he raised Bernese Mountain Dogs, enjoyed the family’s horses and the beauty of nature. In his free time, Guy enjoyed photography, water skiing, and an occasional Cuban Cigar. He was a fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Chicago Bears. Guy cherished the time spent with his family and his many friends. Guy is survived by his wife Dyanna; his father James E. Price of Stevensville; his step-father Ed Schrag of St. Joseph; his children-David Daily of Benton Harbor, Jennifer (Dan) Conroy of Milwaukee, WI, Dustin (Shawna) Daily of South Bend, IN, JoAnna Price of Wyandotte, MI; twelve grandchildren-Cheyanne (Tyler) Holcomb, David Daily, Jr. Brandon Daily, James Daily, Tyler Conroy, Caytlyn Conroy, Anthony Daily, Aaron Daily, Andrew Daily, Gavin Daily, Willow Garver, & Judith Daily; his sisters-Claudia (Mike) Hanley of St. Joseph, Jill McRee of Grand Rapids, Janet (Tom) Collard of Whitmore Lake, MI; his brother Mark (Diana) Price of Sawyer; and numerous nieces & nephews. Guy was preceded in death by his mother Delores Schrag, his step-mother Mary Ellen Price, and his brother James J. “Jimmy” Price.
