Elizabeth B. “Jill” Bowser, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away, Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at West Woods of Niles, in Niles, Michigan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date, due to the Covid-19 precautions. Memorial donations in Jill’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association-Great Lakes Chapter, Kalamazoo. Those wishing to sign Jill’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Jill was born February 10, 1935 in Shanghai, China to Park & Mary (Williams) Bryan. Park gave her the nickname “Jilly Bird”. In December 1957, she married James E. Bowser in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jill & James moved to St. Joseph where they raised their family. Jill was a very fashion-minded lady who always looked her best. She was very creative and enjoyed several crafts & hobbies including pottery, and lived a very full life which she viewed with a great sense of humor. Jill enjoyed decorating Tosi’s & HI’s Saloon for the holidays. Jill is survived by two sons-Bryan (Debby) Bowser of Niles, Blair (Nanci) Bowser of Broken Arrow, OK; and eight grandchildren-Brendan Bowser, Shane (Teresa) Bowser, Taylor Bowser, Alyse Bowser & Ian Bowser, Jayne (Jamie) White, Craig (Kaprice) Schau, Steven (Kayla) Wisniewski; and eleven great grandchildren Jill was preceded in death by her husband James in 2005, her parents, and her brother Jack Bryan.
