Shirley was born on November 15, 1935 in Eau Claire, MI to Reinhold Rudolph Kublick and Leota Arlene (Day) Kublick Hudson. Her Uncle Ralph and Aunt Adeline Mack delivered her at home. Shirley attended Burke Elementary School, St. Mathews Lutheran School and graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1954. On February 1, 1969, Shirley married Donald George Schram at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sodus. Together they enjoyed snowmobiling with the Berrien County Trail Blazers Snow Mobile Club, traveling around the United States for pleasure and to visit their children and spending time with their families. Shirley was John Wayne’s number one fan! Her pastimes included reading historical romance novels, playing piano, crocheting, working word puzzles of all kinds and collecting salt and pepper shakers from around the world. Shirley attended fifteen Ann Arbor Street Fairs with her sister, Nancy, who exhibited her artwork there. In 1990, she traveled by train through France, Germany and Austria with her daughter.
