Joseph's Obituary

Joe was born in Chicago to parents who emigrated from Poland and impressed upon him the value of a strong work ethic. Through different iterations of his career, he always worked with his hands--from refurbishing classic cars to moving into the trades where he went on to run his own premium construction company. He was a true Craftsman and his gift for bridging the elements of design to a flawless, finished product led Joe to being recognized as one of the area's top builders. He worked only by referral (a testament to the quality of his craft) and some of his client work was featured in Architectural Digest and House and Garden Magazine. Joe was a man of principle; everything had to done with a level of excellence and he carried this standard into many areas of his life. Some might call him a man of few words, but he had a quick wit, no shortage of opinions, and could spin a story in such a way that would render the listener speechless or howling with laughter. A long-time resident of Harbor Country, Joe appreciated the quiet moments away from the hustle and bustle of city life. From a young lad and on, it is in Michigan that so many memories were made and will carry forward his legacy for those who knew and loved him. Joe leaves behind his loving wife Betty, of nearly 50 years who he's adored, his loving children, his daughter Jolie (Chris) his son Jacob and his beloved grandchildren Grayson and Easton who brought him immeasurable joy. They will truly miss their Grandpa/Monka.
