Mark Rex Staley

Mark Rex Staley, 64, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in Niles. He was born August 20, 1955 in South Bend to Roger and Bea (Bray) Staley. The family will receive guests from 1pm until time of funeral service at 3pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be given to the Moose Club, Lodge #933, Dowagiac. Mark was a graduate of Dowagiac Central High School, class of 1973. Mark was a jack of all trades, and a master of many of them, but especially electronic maintenance. He loved the outdoors and would be found in his free time on the pontoon boat, catching fish on Diamond Lake. Mark was a very talented guitar and harmonica player, as well as a master woodworker. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helpful hand. Mark had many friends, including those in his Moose Club. Mark is survived by his son, Dylan (Jennifer) Staley; his granddaughter, Vivian Reba Staley; his father, Roger; and his sisters, Ellen and Lois Staley. He is preceded in death by his mother.
